HELLØ / Series of 16 drawings, Indian ink on paper, 16 x 24 cm each, 2009.
Copies of photographed mynah birds, in different positions, using India ink. Each picture is captioned by the word “bonjour.” “Bonjour” is the first word that is taught to French-speaking myna birds, but they usually omit the final “r” in their speech. The resulting copy is then Xeroxed again, and the operation is repeated on and on until the picture exhausts itself, resulting into a black monochrome. This projection is the montage on the loop of the copies. The original picture looses itself and perpetually reappears.
