Isabelle Giovacchini — Vanishing point
"In Vanishing Point, Isabelle Giovacchini attempts a photographic representation of the noise. When an airplane crosses the sound barrier, a cloudy cone forms around him. By cutting the shots this time to keep only the shockwave, the artist makes visible something that can not be photographed. The distortion of reality to reproduce a specific time, often imperceptible, is central to his work. Photography no longer appears as a medium of entertainment but as a tool to allow the transcription of the invisible."
